This is two short stories in one. The first is Hearts Over Bellham. Volunteer firefighter Hillary volunteers to help fellow firefighter Tim hang the Valentine’s decorations over Main Street, she does so because she’s had a crush on him for awhile and just wants to get close to him. The thing is, Tim really hasn’t noticed her before and Hillary is hoping that their spending time together will get him to finally notice her.This is a cute quick story and I really enjoyed it.
The second story is Valentine’s Magic
Set in the same small town of Bellham, this is the story of married couple Carol and Christopher. They’ve been together for years and the spark is gone. They are facing a lot of problems and might actually lose the farm they run. Christopher has reservations for a candlelight dinner on Valentine’s Day, something Carol is really looking forward to. She is hoping that they can get that honeymoon vibe back.
I really enjoyed this story. It’s a different romance since the characters have been married for about 12 years now. It shows what really happens in a marriage, when the time has gone and the spark is either out or dying.

good clean stories yet too short
Loved both of the stories. Always have been a sucker for happy endings. Wish they were guaranteed in real life.
These were two sweet stories about true love as God intended it between man and woman. How refreshing in this day and age.
Thank you for these two short love stories. Although they were different storylines, they both touched your heartstrings and gave you hope for a happy ending.
Two little prequels are cute and to the point. Little romance on Valentine’s Day never did anyone any harm. 😄
These two short but sweet stories are just the thing to get this series started. I love Bellham and the people I've met so far and can't wait to read more. Thank you Danita Cahill for giving us such beautiful stories to make our lives brighter!
In the first story, volunteer firefighter Hillary has kept her heart secure for the past few years. She has a secret crush on Tim. Hillary has kept the embers banked, unwilling to risk a brush fire raging out of control.
Tim is impressed when Hillary shows gumption and determination. Although the short firefighter never really hit his radar screen before, Hillary is definitely on it now.
In the second story, a couple married over a decade have lost their sense of romance. Today it's Valentine's Day. And with Christopher quarreling and impatient, Carol wonders what the evening will hold for them.
